Gaming Developer Portal — Skyway Partner

Vulcan Blockchain is excited to announce that Steve of WavemStudios has joined our Skyway Partner Program as our third partner. Steve’s project is to help build out Vulcan Blockchain’s Gaming Developer Portal by creating an SDK for Unreal Engine 5 and Unity.

Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) is a game engine developed and maintained by Epic Games, the company behind popular games like Fortnite and Gears of War. UE5 is known for its high-quality graphics and advanced visual effects, making it popular among game developers for creating AAA games, VR experiences, and real-time 3D applications. UE5 is also open-source, which means that developers have access to the engine’s source code and can make modifications to suit their needs.

Unity, on the other hand, is a cross-platform game engine that is popular among indie developers and studios for creating 2D and 3D games. Unity is a popular choice for mobile game development and has a large community of developers and assets. Unity is also known for its ease of use and its ability to target multiple platforms, such as iOS, Android, and PC, with a single codebase.

Both Unreal 5 and Unity are important for gaming developers because they provide a foundation for creating games. They also have large communities, which means that developers can find help and support, as well as a wide range of pre-built assets, such as 3D models, to use in their games.

This partnership will help Vulcan attract more gaming developers to our blockchain, and further our mission to bring DeFi tokenomics to the gaming industry. Steve’s expertise in the development industry will be a valuable asset to this project, with over 30 years experience as a developer. “The integration of DeFi tokenomics into the gaming industry has the potential to revolutionize the way we play and earn rewards in games,” said Steve, Founder of WavemStudios.

The Gaming Developer Portal is a one-stop-shop for gaming developers looking to build on the Vulcan Blockchain. It will provide developers with the tools and resources they need to easily integrate blockchain technology into their games. The SDK for Unreal 5 engine and Unity will be a key component of the launchpad and will make it easy for developers to get started.

An SDK stands for “Software Development Kit”. It is a set of tools, libraries, and documentation that developers use to build software applications. In the context of gaming development, an SDK typically includes everything a developer needs to create a game, such as game engines, libraries, and tools for creating art and sound.

In terms of the blockchain, many gaming companies are now using blockchain technology to create decentralized games. In these cases, the SDK will include the necessary tools and libraries for a developer to create a game that interacts with the blockchain. This includes libraries for handling smart contracts, tools for integrating wallets, and sending & receiving transactions on the Vulcan network.

We believe that this partnership will open doors for many gaming developers to easily build on our blockchain and we are excited to provide the technical support and guidance they need to succeed. We look forward to seeing the amazing decentralized games that will be created with the help of these SDKs.
